Conventional hazard-warning lights
figure 1
The hazard-warning signal from vehicle #1 is noch clearly to identify as such, neither from vehicle #2 nor from vehicle #3, and could be mixed up with the normal direction indicator to the left, because one side of vehicle #1 is hidden by obstacles.
figure 2
For drivers of the following vehicles it is not clearly to see, if the vehicle #1 has set the indicator light to the left or if it has turned on its hazard-warning lights.
Dynamic hazard-warning lights
figure 3
With the dynamic hazard-warning light system drivers of following vehicles clearly can identify the hazard-warning light form vehicle #1 as such, although one side of vehicle #1 is hidden. A mixing up with the indicator light to the left is not possible any more. Additional security emerges out of the lack of any dark times with this system, since the blinking effect is created due to periodically changing on-off switching of the two lamps within one blinking unit.
figure 4
The dynamic hazard-warning light system is ideally suited for integrating with modern light units.
